About DaySpring Gardens
My mother loves gardening and even at 79 years old keeps a pretty yard. She has a green thumb and tried to get me interested way back when it was just not my thing! But, after many years, I have grown to love and appreciate the art of gardening as much she does. There’s nothing like having a special place outside to read a book, eat with family, or just enjoy nature. I’m thankful I have become passionate about gardening and equally thankful that so has my husband.
By degree, I’m a middle grades school teacher. My husband, Jeff, worked as a timber cruiser for a local wood dealership before joining our landscaping company.
We, along with our oldest son Weston, started a lawn care maintenance business, DaySpring Enterprises, in 2002. Soon afterwards, a small nursery was added to the company for growing plants to be used in landscaping jobs. Although we have never sought to advertise the nursery publicly, through the years people continue to come for purchases and special orders.
In 2006 we began expanding again by landscaping six more acres into a “model” garden. We wanted to show customers how beautiful plants and structures could look in their own yards.
After our daughter’s wedding in 2010, we began receiving requests for renting our property. So recently, Daypring Gardens was officially open for weddings, receptions and photo shoots.
We’ll forever be adding and moving plants, building arbors and adding lights for recreating an Eden here in Southeast Georgia and we invite you to come share it with us.
